Laing O’Rourke is proud to hold the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) Citation - Employer of Choice for Gender Equality.Laing O’Rourke has been awarded the SMP contract for the RTIO Koodaideri project in the Pilbara.The scope of work includes the delivery of 4 main areas including;• Primary crusher,• Dry screening building,• Train load out building• Secondary crushing building.Works include over 6 km of Overland Conveyors and an estimated 8,000 tonnes of steel work and x linear meters of piping and duct work. Laing O’Rourke is also responsible for installation of all the mechanical equipment.We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Riggers –Advanced for this project. These are FIFO positions from Perth or local hire, working a 3 weeks on and 1 week off roster.As a Rigger, you must possess experience in erecting cranes and mobile crane booms, including increasing and decreasing height of tower cranes by bolting component parts in place and rigging cables safely, erecting structural steel for buildings or plant under construction and precast-concrete panels used for facades of buildings and identifying the required equipment needed to move an object based on shape, weight and size.To be considered for a role, candidates must meet the following criteria:• Hold a valid Advanced Rigging High Risk licence.• Hold a valid Working at Heights ticket.• Hold a valid Provide First Aid ticket.• Hold a valid Fire Extinguisher Training ticket.• Intermediate experience in a heavy construction role.• Proven experience working in a remote FIFO environment• Hold a Construction White card• Demonstrated ability to perform duties maintaining high standards in both safety and quality• Rio Tinto Inducted would be advantageousAs part of the recruitment process, suitable applicants will be required to complete pre-employment medical testing and drug & alcohol screening.To express your interest for any future rigging roles please click on Apply Now above.Candidates must have the right to work in Australia.
